Joey is a certified Birth Arts International Doula, she also is a current student in Mercy in Action Distance Midwifery Program. Joey has been involved with birth since she was born, as her mother was a doula and pregnancy coach as before her. Joey is also in certification for postpartum work and Montrice with Birth Arts International. Joey enjoys supporting women in all areas of birth. She also is a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and has been serving women before, during and after birth. She has worked with specialties such as surrogacy, multiples and teen pregnancy. She also is certified through Veterans Affairs for the families who are serving or have served in our Armed Forces. for a variety of different classes. Joey feels that, "Working with my many types of families and situations has opened my eyes and appreciation to different cultures and customs of birth. I am in awe how birth changes yet stays the same all over the world. It truly is a universal miracle.
In her spare time, she volunteers at The Reach Shelter as a pregnancy coach, and also works with the program Embrace Grace. Joey in her spare time, studies, spends time with her family and is involved in her church and her family their too. She is planning on going into missions in areas of empowering women during birth.
