My name is Tanya Schwamberger and I am a postnatal fitness specialist. I am originally from Pennsylvania and have lived around the USA and the world. When I got pregnant with my first son, I learned a lot of about pregnancy. I learned that if I wanted the best care it was going to be up to me to advocate for myself and educated myself on what is normal, common, and to know the difference.

After I had my second son, I realized I had a lot to learn about postpartum. Especially returning to fitness and movement like I wanted to. I became much more aware of how weak my core was, I learned my pelvic floor was probably carrying a lot of stress, that lead to leaking, and that I was still standing like I was 9 months pregnant. This is when I really started looking for good information about postpartum fitness. I teach women how to return to fitness safely and reconnect with their body after baby. My primary focus is to teach women about postural alignment, reconnecting with their core and pelvic floor. All these things work best when they are working together. It can be very hard to know where to start after your doctor has cleared you to resume life as normal. Which is so unrealistic, you have a baby now, you don't even know what your new normal is! I want to help moms take the fear out of returning to fitness post baby but also help remind them that peeing when they sneeze or when they jump isn't okay. I also want to help moms learn to love movement because it makes them feel good, not to change a number on a scale, although, that might be a pleasant surprise.

If you are wondering about how to safely return to your favorite workout, but question if you have a diastasis (gap in the abs), or you are peeing a little when you sneeze, lets work together to create strategies that will help manage and improve those issues.
